At Ann Summers we are passionate about being different that's why our team of Buyers are forever looking at the next exciting and daring product that can be introduced to our ever expanding ranges. The nature of our products mean that every day brings new discussions about the correct products ranges to introduce to store.

Once those products have been chosen, the Merchandising and QA teams work hard to make sure the right products hit the right stores at the right time in the right quantities at the Ann Summers standards.

Customer Services

We pride ourselves on our high service levels, that's why our dedicated Customer Services department deal with everything from orders to party requests to queries. This department is truly in the 'front line', ensuring we maintain our reputation for excellent and expert customer service. Consistently high standards, speed and efficiency, creative solutions to unexpected problems, these are successfully delivered every day of the week by our focused, motivated and committed team.

Marketing

Our Marketing Department includes specialist teams covering Marketing, PR, Design & Visual Merchandising. They are responsible for understanding the customer, creating & communicating the distinctive daring Ann Summers proposition and customer experience across all aspects of the marketing mix in each of our 3 sales channels - stores, online & parties.

Busy, fun, challenging, creative, & exciting are just some of the adjectives that could be used to describe a typical day in this Department.

E-commerce

The E-Commerce team is responsible for every aspect of online sales and marketing. Driven by a team of content editors, traders and marketers, the E-Commerce team strives to stay ahead of customer expectations, combining a wide choice of products with an easy path to purchase. Through various tools, the E-Commerce team continually assesses and increases the understanding of customer preferences and expectations to continually drive incremental sales and conversion.

This rapidly growing sales channel provides a fantastic opportunity for career progression.

Technology

We rely on our innovative and commercially focussed IT teams to deliver and service the entire business, whether you work at Head Office, out in the field or work in a store. Dedicated teams look after everything from our in-house Oracle system, in-store till systems to hundreds of PC’s and laptops.

We look to recruit people that are customer focussed, problem solvers that combine logical thinking with business awareness and strong interpersonal skills.

Central Operations & Communications

Our Central Operations and Communications team provide direct support to stores, everything from the management of all outbound Head Office communications and co-ordination of incentives to the project management of new store openings. It's a fast paced, exciting department where speed and accuracy are essential.

Property & Facilities

The Property Team manage the store portfolio across the UK, Ireland and Spain in various towns an cities. They maximise the potential of our existing stores as well as continually explore new opportunities.

Party Plan

Party Plan is one of our three Sales Channels, fuelled by the passion, energy, talent and commitment of our 7500 self employed Party Organisers. Considering the size of this business our central team is surprisingly compact but incredibly efficient and effective. Project management and delivery of large scale, highly motivational communication events, formulation and delivery of strategic plans to continually improve and drive sales, these are just a few of the varied, challenging and exciting activities going on in this department.

Internal Audit

The most important line on any balance sheet in any business is the Bottom Line! Our loss prevention team have a very clear objective to maximise the profit that is created across all 3 sales channels by minimising cash and stock loss. This means ensuring systems and policies are complied with as well as investigating security and possible criminal activity. So itʼs a varied role that requires an inquisitive mind, the ability and desire to analyse data and draw conclusions and overall a true commitment and passion to ensure that the hard work to generate sales and subsequently profit is not wasted.

Logistics

To put things into perspective we have approximately 140 stores, 7500 Party Organisers and up to 8000 online orders every week. As you can imagine the logistics function plays a key role in our continued success.

That is why we have a dedicated team of around 250 people handling 264,000 units every week. All managed from our main site, it is a 7 day week operation that requires efficiency in addition to a creative and ‘can do’ approach.

Human Resources

At Ann Summers we really believe that the people in the business are our biggest asset. That’s why our dedicated teams of Business Partners, People Services, Compensation and Benefits and Learning and Development are there to find and retain the passionate people that make Ann Summers what it is.

Finance

We have a mix of qualified, part-qualified and unqualified people working across AP, AR, Management Accounts and financial analysis.
